This poetry reading, rom-com watching, “I made you dinner”, version of me gets heightened when Valentine’s Day is near.
As someone who has been single for an unreasonably long time, I have learned to welcome in the kind of love that holds the power to emancipate + transcend. I have found this love in long walks by the river, in the warmth of the sun on a cold winter day, and in the connection I share with Boozo 🐶 even after his passing. Most importantly, I have found this love in honouring every version of myself that existed before this one.
